Dodgers: LA Signs One-Time All-Star to Minor League Deal
The Dodgers continue to try to add position player depth while they await the decision of Freddie Freeman. LA signed former Royals infielder Hanser Alberto to a deal over the weekend and according to reports, signed third baseman Jake Lamb to a minor league deal on Monday. If the third baseman and outfielder makes the team, he’s set to earn $1.5M.

Lamb was an NL All-Star with the Diamondbacks in 2017, but has struggled mightily ever since. The 31-year-old slashed .194/.306/.368 last year between the Chicago White Sox and the Toronto Blue Jays.
The Dodgers are hoping they can work their magic with Lamb to give the club a left-handed bat they can plug in off the bench.
