Dodgers’ Landon Knack in Washington D.C. With Team Following Blake Snell Going on IL
Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Landon Knack is in Washington D.C with the team. Knack was optioned to Triple-A following the Tokyo Series, but joined the Dodgers on their trip to Japan.

Knack made one appearance at the Tokyo Dome, pitching two shutout innings. He allowed just one hit while striking out three.
It appears Knack has been called up by the Dodgers, which falls in line with the team needing a starter for Tuesday’s game against the Washington Nationals. Left-hander Blake Snell was originally supposed to start Tuesday, but was placed on the injured list with shoulder inflammation.
Snell threw a bullpen Sunday morning, and spoke with Dodgers trainer Thomas Albert and general manager Brandon Gomes afterward. Not long after, the Dodgers announced the two-time Cy Young winner would be landing on the IL.
Knack, 27, last pitched for Triple-A Oklahoma City on April 3. The right-hander threw five strikeouts, allowed two runs and two walks across 4.2 innings.
It’s not confirmed that the Dodgers will use Knack as a starter this coming week, but the right-hander joining the team signals he is an option to start in place of Snell against the Nationals.
