  1. Incredible Announcement? A few more bobbleheads? C’mon, concessions at half price, or an added bobblehead day with no advance notice, those are a bigger deal. Still, incredible? Well, maybe if Ohtani autographed a thou or more of them. But just a few more bobbleheads, on a Wednesday Twilight game? BFD.

Koufax pitching. Drysdale rising from the dead. Kershaw making his first start after a while. Ohtani making his first start. Those would be bordering on an Incredible Announcement. But a few more bobbleheads? I know they’re popular, but still, yawn. 20% of them will be on ebay tomorrow.

Now, nothing against Ohtani, and his game winner tonight, he’s at worst a generational talent, perhaps one of the all time greats, and seems to be a good person. But 25% more bobbleheads on a give away night? Hardly an Incredible Announcement.

I know the writers here have to try to pump it up a bit, but c’mon, don’t over do it.
