Dodgers Make Roster Move Ahead of Tuesday’s Doubleheader

The Los Angeles Dodgers have added a 27th man to the active roster ahead of their Tuesday doubleheader against the New York Mets.

The team has recalled left-handed pitcher Nick Ramirez for Tuesday’s games.



Major League Baseball allows teams to add a 27th man to the roster ahead of doubleheaders. They come up for the doubleheader and then get sent back down at the end of the day.

Ramirez, 34, has made six appearances for the Dodgers this season at the MLB level. In those 9.1 innings of work, he’s allowed four earned runs, good for a 3.86 ERA.

The Dodgers have right-handed pitcher Tyler Glasnow going in Game 1 with this lineup behind him:

In Game 2, it will be right-handed pitcher Gavin Stone, and a lineup that won’t feature Shohei Ohtani, who’s recovering from a bruised hamstring. Dodgers catcher Will Smith will move over to DH for Game 2.

When Do the Dodgers Play Today?

First pitch for Game 1 of the doubleheader is 1:10 p.m. PT. Game 2 will start shortly after Game 1 ends.
