Player of the Day – Joc Pederson
Sure, 1-for-4 isn’t the best performance out there, but Joc hit his second homer in as many days, lifting his total to seven which places him second in the PCL. He leads the league in OPS and walks, while raising his OPS against righties to an absurd 1.414. He still has some work to do against lefties, as he’s posting a .270/.357/.378 line against them. Still, his amazing start, even if it’s skewed by playing half the time in Albuquerque, will give the Dodgers some important decisions to make in the not-too-distant future.
