Player of the Day – Julian Leon
Leon fell a triple short of the cycle on Wednesday, lifting his slash line to .345/.415/.547. Granted, he’s doing this playing half his games in a notorious hitter’s park and all of his games in a notorious hitter’s league, but the 18-year-old backstop has shown promise with his secondary skills, making contact and drawing walks. The Mexican native is likely the Dodgers’ best catching prospect.
