Dodgers News: Adrian Gonzalez and Andre Ethier Rehabbing With Quakes
As good as these 2017 Dodgers have been, they are not even technically at full strength. Three Dodgers that we should be seeing very soon are Rob Segedin, Adrian Gonzalez, and Andre Ethier.
On Friday Dave Roberts told reporters that Adrian Gonzalez and Andre Ethier would be playing for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes on Saturday.
Adrian Gonzalez and Andre Ethier will play a rehab game with @RCQuakes tomorrow, Dave Roberts said.

This will be Andre Ethier’s first rehab appearacnce of the season, whereas Adrian Gonzalez has been rehabbing out in OKC with Rob Segedin August 3rd. Both have been looking good and showing some power.

The question will be where Adrian Gonzalez and Andre Ethier will be placed once healthy. Cody Bellinger is not coming out of the lineup. The outfield also seems fairly secure, especially with the season that Chris Taylor is having.
Regardless, adding these guys, along with Rob Segedin, will make the team better. Now it’s just up to Dave Roberts to figure out the best way possible to get them in the game without taking out the guys who have carried the team all season long.

People like to say it’s a nice problem to have, but is a difficult and risky decision. The team chemistry is good, neither Gonzo or Ethier can play multiple positions, and Ethier is in the last 2 months of his contract.
Daniel, Ethier’s contract doesn’t expire until 2018…
Ethier’s contract should have expired back when Shane Victorino outplayed him in left right field
The only time Gonzo should ever play is they decide to rest or bench Peterson, then put Bellinger in left and slide Taylor over to center. As far as Ethier goes, nothing but a pinch-hitter.
The solution will be for mlb to expand the outfield to 5 players (4 outfielders and a rover).
nice site.
