Dodgers News And Rumors: Greinke’s Elbow Cause For Concern

[new_royalslider id=”4″] The Los Angeles Dodgers’ starting pitching staff hasn’t had the best luck of late. Hyun-Jin Ryu is on the disabled list due to a strained glute, Paul Maholm is out for the season due to a torn ACL and Josh Beckett is suffering from multiple injuries. Another pitcher may have problems as the season moves forward.

It was reported Monday, there’s some concern regarding Zack Greinke’s elbow. After winning his 12th game of the season on July 25, Greinke has gone 0-2 in his last four starts. Acquiring Kevin Correia and Roberto Hernandez has helped stabilize the backend of the rotation, but losing Greinke would be a crushing blow to the ailing pitching staff.

There hasn’t been talk of placing Greinke on the DL, but the team could opt to skip his next scheduled start on Thursday.
