Dodgers News And Rumors: Kershaw Turns Focus Towards Giants
Los Angeles Dodgers’ ace Clayton Kershaw just recorded his 18th win on Monday against the San Diego Padres. With the Padres behind him, Kershaw’s focus is now on another National League West foe.
Though any game at this point in the season is important, it seems this weekend’s series on the road against the San Francisco Giants is bigger than the rest. After his win Monday, Kershaw said he’s glad he can now place his attention on his upcoming start against the Giants.
The left-hander is scheduled to start in Sunday’s series finale. In two starts against the Giants this season, Kershaw is 1-0 with a 1.69 ERA.
With the NL West title hanging in the balance, the Dodgers and Giants will meet for six games before season’s end. Tuesday’s loss left the Dodgers with a 2.5-game lead in the NL West standings.
