Dodgers News: Chris Hatcher Placed on DL; Ross Stripling Recalled
Prior to Friday night’s game against the Colorado Rockies, the Dodgers placed relief pitcher Chris Hatcher on the disabled list due to thoracic inflammation.
Today, the Dodgers recalled Ross Stripling from Triple-A Oklahoma City and placed Chris Hatcher on the 10-day DL with thoracic inflammation.

Chris Hatcher has had yet another rough season in 2017, bouncing around with usage as Dave Roberts has not been able to find the right spot to use him in the bullpen.
Roberts has done more than enough to give Hatcher his opportunities in high leverage situations. Hatcher has not proved that he can be too reliable in high leverage situations which has led him to mostly making appearances in blowouts.
Hatcher is on an even pace for his career stats; the problem his that his career stats are not very good.
Ross Stripling will be re-entering the Dodger bullpen as a long relief option beside Kenta Maeda. With Julio Urias going down for the rest of the year due to shoulder surgery, Stripling moves up a spot on the starting pitcher depth chart, making him all the more valuable to the team.

Well at least for the next 10 games we will not lose a one run game due to a homer in the 9th given up from Mr. Hatcher!
