Dodgers News: Chris Taylor Exits Game With Foot Injury
The Dodgers jumped out to an early lead over the Padres on Saturday evening. With Yu Darvish on the mound for San Diego, Los Angeles came out swinging big. They slugged 3 solo homeruns in the very first inning to get things going in the right direction.
But the game was not without its downsides. The Dodgers had to remove Chris Taylor from the game and go with a defensive replacement. Trayce Thompson came on for then into right field after Taylor exited the game in the 6th inning.
Taylor fouled a ball off of his foot earlier in the game but remained in there for the Dodgers. His final at-bat was in the 3rd inning when he struck out against Darvish. Thompson came on almost 3 innings later. The team was calling it a foot contusion during the game.
Chris Taylor left today’s game with a left foot contusion.

Taylor struck out twice in that game to add to what has been a very difficult run for him. The Dodgers utility man has gone 1-for-19 with 9 strikeouts in his last 6 games. It’s been a bit of a cold streak for him. But regardless, he is an important piece in this lineup.
