Corey Seager currently has a 15-game hitting streak, which could still come into play if he sees any pinch-hit opportunities come his way tonight. He is still rolling through his second full season in the big leagues, posting a .311 batting average along with 19 home runs and 65 runs batted in. Almost all of his production has come from the number two spot in the order this season.
He gets a well deserved break tonight, and with the off day the team had yesterday, two days without having to take the field could really give him some extra energy for the stretch run in September.
Cody Bellinger will be returning tomorrow against the Diamondbacks, so look for the team to be back to full force then. Gonzalez will most likely be turned bak into a bench/platoon player.
