After another slow start, the Los Angeles Dodgers have rounded into form and played their way to the top of the National League West standings. To show their appreciation for the fans who have dedicated themselves to the team, the Dodgers are holding Fan Appreciation Day at Dodger Stadium. The special day is scheduled for the team’s final home game on Sept. 28 against the Colorado Rockies.

Fans will be able to win prizes such as a 60-inch LG television, four tickets to the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas, two Dodgers Season Tickets for the 2015 season, a voicemail recorded by Vin Scully and much more.

The game is to thank the fans for their support during the regular season as the playoffs are right around the corner. With over 3 million in attendance this season, Dodger fans have been able to witness many accomplishments on the field during the team’s 2014 campaign.

Part of Clayton Kershaw’s impressive season included him throwing his first career no-hitter, which came at Chavez Ravine. Along with that, Joc Pederson’s MLB debut and thrilling walk-off wins have also come at Dodger Stadium.

Currently, the Dodgers hold a two-game lead over the San Francisco Giants in the NL West standings. Of the 16 games regular-season games remaining, only six of them will be played at home. The home schedule includes a three-game series against the Giants that starts Monday, Sept. 22.
