Dodgers News: David Price Activated off IL, Andre Jackson Optioned Once Again

With the question marks still looming over the pitching staff, the return of David Price could not have come at a better time for the Dodgers. Price was on the IL for the better part of three weeks due to a wrist injury.

He now gets to join a bullpen that recently pulled the plug on a struggling-to-close a game Craig Kimbrel. It remains to be seen how Dave Roberts will fully utilize Price, but the help is warranted as the postseason is just three weeks away.

Prior to his injury, the 5-time All-Star recorded one save on the season with a respectable 2.58 ERA. With Price’s future still uncertain, this could be the boost he needs for one last hurrah for the former ace.

Andre Jackson has continued to fill in nicely for the Dodgers but was optioned once again to make room for Price. Jackson appeared in three games this season and recorded his first save of the 2022 season on Sunday against the Cardinals.

He has yet to give up any earned runs on the season and has delivered six strikeouts in 5.2 innings played.
