Dodgers News: Dodger Fans May Be Excluded From Petco Park Come NLDS Time

The Dodgers are still waiting on their NLDS opponent. Will it be the New York Mets or San Diego Padres? While the Dodgers are preparing for either one, our neighbors down south look to not be focused on the task at hand.

Yikes. It looks like the Padres don’t want Dodger fans to invade Petco Park as they always do. But, hey, Padres, two things; you know Dodger fans are EVERYWHERE, especially in San Diego County and all those other counties you listed. And second, you’re facing elimination tonight and have a good chance at not even making it out of the Wild Card series; you know that, right?

It’s funny to see the Padres already focused on the next thing instead of handling business first and worrying about Dodger fans invading San Diego like they always do.

However, I must admit that another Dodgers-Padres series would be epic and by far be the best division series in the league, at least on paper.

Los Angeles faced their division rivals 19 times in the regular season, going 14-5 in 2022. Even though the Padres have done everything in their power to try and dethrone Los Angeles, it hasn’t gone their way in the last couple of years. The postseason is a different beast so if they happen to advance, throw whatever you know about the Dodgers-Padres out the window.

As things stand, we are in our little brother’s head, and this proves it even more.
San Diego will look to survive and advance, while Los Angeles will play on Tuesday against tonight’s winner.

  1. It does make sense to have local fans be able to attend the home games but… as you pointed out, LAD fans (like a few other teams especially NYY, BRS and CC fans) are everywhere and live in New York and San Deigo so they will be there. Sometimes I see more LAD fans in other ballparks than the home team… which is good and bad. Bad obviously as MLB needs more fans in the nonhuge markets.

    1. For the sake of all you fair weather fans and your egos I truly hope not; basically it’d be hilarious, not a Padres fan but “Let’s go Padres” or anybody but the Doyers (like the team, despise majority of fan base).

  2. How do they block Ticketmaster and Stubhub? Manfred should block this stunt and fine the Padres. But he hates the Dodgers!

    1. How quickly you forget… Superbowl LVI, LA restricted ticket sales to certain area codes, way before the Rams made it. Oh and where are the Rams from? Homegrown or bought from another city? Same goes for the dodgers.
