Dodgers News: Dodgers Activate Tony Cingrani; Option Brock Stewart
The Los Angeles Dodgers have activated their newly acquired left-handed reliever, Tony Cingrani.
In order to make room for Cingrani on the 25-man roster, Brock Stewart, who started yesterday’s game against the Atlanta Braves, was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Today, the #Dodgers activated Tony Cingrani (#54). To create room on the active roster, Brock Stewart has been optioned to Triple-A OKC.

Stewart has been performing well as a member of the Dodger bullpen and has just about done as much as someone could ask of him as he shifted to the rotation for two starts. He would not be available for 4-5 days after his start on Wednesday against the Braves, so it was most logical that he went down to Triple-A.
Cingrani will be taking number 54, previously worn by Sergio Romo who is now a member of the Tampa Bay Rays bullpen.
Cingrani just joined the team today and Alanna Rizzo of SportsNet LA said that he introduced himself to every member of the media.
Cingrani just got on team bus & introduced himself to every media member. I have never seen that in my 13+ years of broadcasting. Very nice.

The Dodgers went from having one left-handed pitcher in their bullpen, to now three after the additions of Cingrani and Watson. Dave Roberts will now have the ability to mix and match lefties and righties out of his bullpen more freely.
