Dodgers News: Dodgers Recall Austin Barnes, Crawford Designated for Assignment

The Los Angeles Dodgers continue to make moves within their roster. Catcher/infielder Austin Barnes was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City today, and outfielder Carl Crawford has been designated for assignment.

Barnes has batted .306 with a .413 on-base percentage for OKC. The 26-year-old made the Dodgers’ Opening Day roster, where he went 2-for-15 with an RBI in six games at catcher and second base. He was optioned back to Oklahoma City on April 15.

Crawford has batted .185 in his 30 games this season. In 2013, he was a key to the Dodgers’ run to the NLCS, hitting .310 with four homers and 6 RBI in 10 postseason games.
