Dodgers News: Enrique Hernandez Reveals Disgusting Story to Justin Turner from 2020 Playoffs

Content warning on this one! As you know by now, former Dodgers Justin Turner and Kiké Hernandez were reunited this offseason after Turner joined the Boston Red Sox in free agency. It’s an understatement to say that this pair has a history together. One filled with ups and downs, joy and sorrow, and a championship in Los Angeles in 2020.

The 2020 postseason was an incredible run for the team. LA battled against the odds while down 3-1 to the Atlanta Braves in the NLCS and fought against an ugly World Series game 5 loss to eventually win it all in game 6.

History will show you that the NLDS, however, was relatively easy for the Dodgers. They swept the Padres 3-0 and traveled to Texas to play in the postseason bubble. One thing it seems was tough for Hernandez though, as he revealed in the below video.

The question: what’s the most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to you during a game. Kiké’s answer is pretty gross.

“2020 playoffs I had a tooth infection so I was taking some antibiotics for my infection. And one of the side effects was diarrhea. We got a big out in a big situation during the NLDS and I screamed, ‘F yeah!’ — I was DHing and I thought I farted. I went out to lead off the inning, I struck out in three pitches. When I went in the dugout, I went straight to the bathroom and pulled my pants down… completely sharted”

Anything to win a ring, I guess?

JT asked for confirmation from Kiké, “so you’re saying you misjudged a fart?” Hernandez: “No, I completely s*** my pants. During a game. In the playoffs.”

Hernandez and Turner spent six seasons together with the Dodgers. Over that time, the two and their families grew very close, so there’s little doubt that JT already knew this story. But now, it seems, the whole world knows.

When Will Justin Turner and Kiké Hernandez Play the Dodgers in 2023?

Among many changes made by MLB since last season, club schedules were reimagined to have each team play every other team in the league each year. The Dodgers and Red Sox face off for just one series in 2023 and that happens in August. LA will travel to Boston to face the Sox and reunite with old friends JT and Hernandez, as well as long-time closer Kenley Jansen and outfielder Alex Verdugo.

Hopefully until then Kiké avoids any more tooth infections.

What Play Caused the Accident for Kiké?

Now we can’t be 100% certain, but the internet detective work of our Jeff Snider points to this moment against San Diego. Keen eared listeners should be able to hear Kiké soon after Dustin May’s strikeout of Wil Myers.
