The Dodgers have officially activated outfielder Franklin Gutierrez.
To make room for Gutierrez on the 25-man roster, the Dodgers have optioned the struggling Scott Van Slyke.
Today, the #Dodgers reinstated Franklin Gutierrez from the 10-day DL and optioned Scott Van Slyke to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Franklin Gutierrez participated in two rehab games for the Dodgers’ high-A affiliate, the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes.
Gutierrez only had 13 at-bats as a Dodger this season before he was placed on the disabled list, posting a .231 average without any home runs or RBIs.
This transaction means that Cody Bellinger is guaranteed a few more games on the major league club before the team has to make another decision when Joc Pederson returns from the disabled list.
