The Los Angeles Dodgers do, however, have a few guys coming back from injury, and getting them healthy again would be something close to a free agent signing.

This is obviously great news, given Grandal’s upside and defensive abilities behind home plate. While A.J. Ellis obviously finished the season exceedingly strong, Grandal is simply more talent at this stage in their careers.
The Dodgers will obviously need both Grandal and Ellis, who are both arbitration-eligible. Grandal’s update undeniably important, though, both for him individually and for the Dodgers collectively.
