With Greinke, like most all other great pitchers, you tend to hear “He’s just an all-around athlete. He really enjoys all the aspects of the game.” Those cliches fit perfectly with Greinke, who is easily one of the best pitchers in the game and holds his own at the plate. Now, he hopes to be rewarded for his fielding capabilities for the second year in a row.
Gonzalez a .996 fielding percentage in just over 1,254 innings in 2015, which sounds great but looks even more stellar as you look and find that he’s never dipped below .900 in his career. When you think Gonzalez, you tend to think of his offensive capabilities, but what he does defensively is just as crucial to the Dodgers’ success.
Winners will be announced November 10.
