Dodgers News: Jake Marisnick Exits Tuesday’s Game Early With Apparent Injury

The Dodgers are off to a great start in Baltimore, as they lead 5-1 through four innings. However, they were dealt with some potential bad news, as recently-acquired outfielder Jake Marisnick exited Tuesday’s game early with apparent injury.

Marisnick, who pinch-hit for Jason Heyward in the top of the third inning, had to be replaced by Chris Taylor in the outfield.

Marisnick replaced Heyward, who was taken out after hitting a three-run home run in the second inning. Heyward did not appear to be removed due to injury, but rather for the mere fact that the Dodgers already had a 5-0 lead and they play a day game tomorrow against a right-handed pitcher.

However, Marisnick, who singled in his one at-bat, now had to be removed in the fourth inning.

Obviously, all eyes will be on Marisnick, who has played fairly well in his limited time in Los Angeles. He was added to be another right-handed bat to face left-handed pitching, so hopefully this was nothing serious.

For now, the Dodgers bench is thin with two players already coming in as replacements.
