Dodgers News: Joc Pederson On Track to Return from Family Medical Emergency List on Tuesday
The Dodgers have been without the services of outfielder Joc Pederson since Wednesday after he was placed on the family medical emergency list for undisclosed reasons. Before Sunday’s matinee in Colorado, manager Dave Roberts confirmed that Joc is on schedule to return to the active roster on Tuesday. Making that more apparent, it turns out that the veteran took some hacks off teammate Walker Buehler in a simulated game on Saturday.
I think 75 of Walker’s pitches were uncovered, which is great, and the last 15 were covered. Really positive things. And I think Joc took 7 at-bats in that game as well, so I expect him back on Tuesday also.
The two for one special from Dave!
With both of the injured Dodgers, it meshes with what Doc has said to media recently. Earlier this week, Roberts said that Pederson would be back in the starting lineup on Tuesday, depending on the starting pitcher the visiting A’s throw on the mound.
In his place, rookie Zach McKinstry has picked up 7 at-bats and collected the first two base hits of his career over one start and three pinch hitting appearances.
The Dodgers have Monday off after completing a 5-2 road trip through San Diego and Colorado.
