Dodgers News: Joe Davis Won’t Be on the Call for LA’s NLDS Games
It really would’ve been too good to be true.
Despite being the best team in baseball, and playing in a rematch of the 2020 NLDS, the Dodgers and Padres were not given the ‘A team’ of FOX’s broadcasters. The Braves/Phillies series will be broadcast on FOX with Joe Davis and former Brave John Smoltz on the call, and Ken Rosenthal on the field. And the Dodgers/Padres series will be broadcast on FS1, and will have Adam Amin, AJ Pierzynski and Tom Verducci.
Here’s the FOX Sports NLDS broadcast assignments:
• Phillies/Braves – Joe Davis, John Smoltz, Ken Rosenthal
• Padres/Dodgers – Adam Amin, AJ Pierzynski, Tom VerducciThe entire FOX MLB Postseason is available in 4K HDR through the FOX NOW and FOX Sports apps

Obviously, it would’ve been special hearing Davis’ voice during a Dodger postseason game, but unfortunately, it just didn’t work out that way yet.
If the Dodgers continue to advance, then the dream of Davis calling a Dodgers’ postseason game can become a reality. So if Dodger fans needed any more reason to root for their team this series (and I don’t think they do), then here it is.
First pitch on Tuesday will be at 6:37 PM PT. On Wednesday, it’ll be at 5:37 PM PT.

Joe Davis is the best thing in the Dodger booth since Vin Scully. I listened to Vin’s broadcasts from 1959 until his final one…
