Dodgers News: Mattingly Noncommital About Brian Wilson’s Next Outing
The Dodgers bullpen has been a huge strength in the past month or so as Kenley Jansen being put in the closer’s spot has solidified the roles of everyone.
Ronald Belisario has been the primary set-up man with Paco Rodriguez thrown in to get key left handed batters out while Brandon League looks to have gotten out of a midseason funk.
According to Arash Markazi of ESPNLA.com, Don Mattingly was coy in talking about where and when Wilson would make his next appearance:
Brian Wilson could join the Dodgers on their road trip begining Friday but Mattingly was hesitant to say much more.

Between Rancho and Albuquerque, Wilson hasn’t given up a run and the Dodgers changed their plans in having him pitch multiple innings rather than on consecutive nights.
It appears that Wilson will be used as a set-up man to Jansen and on nights where he’s unavailable to close, he could fill-in. In his four years closing with the Giants, Wilson notched 161 saves and will provide great experience to the ‘pen.
Candidates to be sent down when Wilson comes up are Chris Withrow, Dee Gordon or Carlos Marmol, as Mattingly and management will have a decision to make. __________________________________________________________________________________________
