Dodgers News: Mookie Betts Left Stadium on Crutches After Thursday’s Game

Dodgers superstar Mookie Betts left loanDepot Park on crutches following Thursday’s game, the reporters in Miami confirmed.

Betts went through a precautionary x-ray after fouling a ball off his foot in his final at-bat of the game.

Jack Harris of the LA Times reports that the x-rays were negative, and the team will see how he’s feeling on Friday.

Betts, of course, is in the midst of an MVP-caliber season as the leadoff hitter for LA.

On the year, he’s slashing .314/.411/.609 with 38 home runs and 99 runs batted in. He’s been everything LA could have asked for and more this season, especially playing three positions.

Hopefully Betts is feeling better tomorrow and this injury isn’t anything serious. Fortunately, though, LA is well on their way to clinching the NL West, so they can be extra cautious with not rushing Betts back.

We’ll know more tomorrow, but let’s hope this isn’t a serious issue for the Dodgers MVP.
