The Los Angeles Dodgers put on a show on Opening Day we have the latest on the Dodgers win, Vin Scully entering his final season and more!
It’s bittersweet. Opening day is here and as the Dodgers walk away with a 15-0 victory over the San Diego Padres, it is the start of the end of legendary announcer Vin Scully 67th and final year with the team.NEXT: Dodgers – Padres Opening Day Running Diary
The Dodgers posted this picture on instagram with the caption “The last scorebook”.
For fans it was great seeing Scully back in the booth calling the game, but for Scully it was business as usual.
Despite the Dodgers having their season opener on the road, Dodger fans alongside Pantone 294 made the trip to San Diego.
They filled not one, but two buses.
And the Boys in Blue didn’t disappoint defeating the Padres in dramatic fashion thanks to an impressive performance by shortstop Corey Seager.
That wasn’t the only thing Seager did. On April 4th, 2016 Seager became the youngest Dodgers opening day starter at any position in 16 years, and the youngest shortstop opening day starter in 72 years. Seager is just under 3 weeks away from turning 22-years-old.Dodgers News: Grandal To Start Season on DL
