Dodgers News: RHP Ross Stripling Signs Two-Year Deal With Giants

Former Dodger alert! RHP Ross Stripling has reportedly signed a two-year deal worth $25 million with the San Francisco Giants, bringing him back to the NL West after a few seasons in Toronto.

An All-Star in 2018 with the Dodgers, Stripling pitched very well last season with the Blue Jays. In 32 games last year (24 starts), Stripling went 10-4 with a 3.01 ERA and a 1.02 WHIP.

After spending the first five-and-a-half years of his career with the Dodgers, he’ll make his return to the NL West. He’ll be going back to the stadium in San Francisco in which he threw 7.1 no-hit innings in his first career start. He’ll make his first return to Dodger Stadium on June 16-18, but will play against his former team for the first time on April 10-12 in San Francisco.

Congrats to Chicken Strip on his new deal. The Dodgers will be seeing a lot of him over the next two seasons.

  1. Clutch Points came with an article recently about the Braves possibly trading Max Fried. If this is true, then the Dodgers should be all in. He is an LA native and would be a huge addition to our rotation.

  2. Generally I wish old Dodgers well, where ever they land. Nothing against Ross, and I thought better of him than the LA front office, I don’t wish him the best the next two years. After that, as long as he’s somewhere else, sure, go Ross.

    Old habits die hard.

  3. Chicken Strips back to pluck DR and AF apart for dissing him. Former Dodgers playing for Zaidi and the Giants always play well against the Dodgers. Woody, Joc, and now Strip gonna haunt the Dodgers when they meet.
