Dodgers News: Shortstop Miguel Rojas Removed From Wednesday’s Game Early for Unknown Reason

Dodgers starting shortstop Miguel Rojas has been removed from Wednesday’s game against the Cincinnati Reds after just three innings. We are not yet sure why he was taken out of the game, but it’s never a good sign when someone gets removed early, especially just three-plus innings into the game.

Chris Taylor moved to shortstop to replace Rojas, while Jason Heyward came into the game in left field.

We obviously don’t want to speculate on anything, but it’s a little unnerving to see Rojas leave after just three innings.

We hope that it’s not an injury, but you don’t usually see substitutions like that this early, especially when Rojas is the team’s best defender at shortstop.

Rojas’ last at-bat came in the top of the third inning, when he grounded out. However, he then played defense in the bottom of the third, before being replaced defensively in the bottom of the fourth inning.

We’ll continue to update you on Rojas when we learn more, but for now, for the second straight game, the Dodgers have had to remove a player from the game early. Let’s hope it’s nothing serious for Rojas.
