Dodgers News: Team To Host Old-Timers Game Saturday
Dating back to the days when the Los Angeles Dodgers were in Brooklyn, they have been one of baseball’s most storied franchises. Their six World Series championships ranks third in the National League, behind the St. Louis Cardinals and San Francisco Giants. Dodger pitchers have also found success, as the Dodgers have had eight of their pitchers win the Cy Young Award.
Since the Guggenheim Partners acquired the Dodgers, they looked to bring the franchise back to their winning ways. One of their focuses has been fixing relations with former Dodger greats while reconnecting with their past.
The Dodgers hope to continue that plan and will be hosting this year’s Old Timers’ Game after Saturday’s game against the Giants, via the team website:
Join the Dodgers on Saturday, May 10th for the Old-Timers Game, presented by Security Benefit. Take in a day of baseball as the Dodgers play the Giants at 1:10pm and following the game, your favorite Dodger alumni will show off their timeless skills.
