Dodgers News: Trayce Thompson’s First Postseason Hit Was a Big One

Trayce Thompson’s first career postseason hit could not have come at a better time.

His single to lead off the 5th inning sparked the first big rally for the Dodgers, and brought them back into a game that felt a lot more out of hand than it was.

Thompson has had two solid at-bats so far in Game 3, which is a welcome sign for him after going 0-6 through the first two games of this series.

Most notably, his base hit came off of a Padres club that released him earlier this season after a short stop with San Diego.

Thompson and Austin Barnes were catalysts in game 3 for LA but it wasn’t enough against the Padres and their lights out pitching staff. Now the boys in blue head into a do or die game 4 with Tyler Anderson facing Joe Musgrove at Petco Park.

  1. Not looking forward to tonight’s game, but I have always believed, and will continue to believe, that this team can do, what now seems like, the improbable (since the Dodgers have not looked right from the start of Game 1.) The Padres are thirsty and beating the Mets really energized them before the series even started against the Dodgers; whereas, the Dodgers appear lethargic and completely checked out. If the Dodgers start playing as if they want this half as bad as the Padres do, its not impossible for the Dodgers to take Game 4. Come on Dodgers! Wake up!!!
