Dodgers Notes: Blockbuster Trade Idea, Freddie Freeman Nearly Retired, Insane Shohei Ohtani Praise

The Los Angeles Dodgers may not be done with their dominant offseason just yet as a blockbuster trade idea finds them landing a top prospect in a position that L.A. needs more depth in. It would unfortunately come at the expense of an All-Star pitcher.

Additionally, World Series MVP Freddie Freeman revealed he almost called his historic baseball career quits last season. The year of 2024 will be remembered by Freeman’s on-field heroics, but his off-the-field life luckily avoided a tragic event with his son.

Finally, three-time MVP Shohei Ohtani gave incredible praise to 23-year-old phenom Roki Sasaki after his MLB debut in Japan. A game that also saw the National League’s home run leader get his first dinger of the new season, Ohtani took time to give the young pitcher his flowers.
