The Tim Anderson trade makes a little sense. He might bounce back this year and he hits left-handed pitching well. The weak links for the Dodgers this year are SS and LF. If the Dodgers played Chris Taylor and Miguel Rojas on better Right-Left pitching splits they’d be doing alright. Rojas is doing great against lefties this year and Taylor is scratching for more playing time.
Surprised that Colorado’s OF Randal Grichuk isn’t a trade candidate! Batting .429 against lefties and pretty good against right-handers too. The Rockies have a crowded outfield and he’s on the last year of his contract. He was injured this year too- which the Dodgers’ front office loves. Tim Anderson would require at least one really good prospect in return for this and next year’s service… when we’d have a crowded infield (Lux & Busch + Vargas/Rojas/Muncy/Taylor).
