Dodgers’ Number One Prospect Highlights Spring Breakout Roster

While the Los Angeles Dodgers are in Seoul, South Korea, opening one of the most highly-anticipated seasons in franchise history, a group of younger players will have the spotlight on them in Arizona.

The Dodgers, along with every other major league organization, announced their Spring Breakout roster on Thursday morning. The event will allow each farm system to showcase some of the best talent in the minor leagues.

Dalton Rushing, the No. 1 prospect in the Dodgers organization according to MLB Pipeline, highlights the inaugural roster that will play at the Los Angeles Angels at Tempe Diablo Stadium on March 16.

Rushing slashed .228/.404/.452/.856 with 15 home runs in 381 plate appearances at High-A Great Lakes in 2023.

He arrived at Camelback Ranch in 2024 as a non-roster invitee and has appeared in eight games. He has yet to record a hit in 10 at-bats with two runs batted in, a walk, and seven strikeouts.
