Dodgers: Ross Stripling Posts Heartfelt Goodbye to Los Angeles
The Dodgers sent off Ross Stripling to Toronto at the trade deadline, and it was felt by fans all around Los Angeles. Stripling has really become a fan favorite over the last couple of years, and his sudden departure caught a lot of people off guard.
On Tuesday night, while the Dodgers were playing against Arizona, Stripling posted his farewell message. He took to Instagram to thank the fans and the franchise for everything that they have done for him in his career.
Ross was drafted by the Dodgers back in 2012 in the 5th round out of Texas A&M. From there, he shot up through the minor league system and made his big league debut in 2016 against the Giants. Strip tossed 7+ no-hit innings before being pulled on a 100-pitch limit in what was truly a debut to remember.

I was shocked when I heard this news! I’m truly sorry to see you leave, but sincerely wish you nothing but the best with the Jays. Enjoy Canada when the border finally opens. It’s a beautiful Country with very nice people.
Thank you for all your hard work with the Dodgers. You will be missed.
Jays over Marlins in the World Series
That is the most idiotic statement ever…
I was very surprised & shocked to hear the news that your going to Toronto. Thank you for all you’ve done for the Dodgers & I hope you have lots of luck with the Blue Jays . We will miss you very much.
Good guy but never meet the potential that the Dodgers expected from him. He is maybe a long reliever 2-3 innings tops. This will give the youngsters a chance. I wish him good luck in Toronto.
One of the good guys in baseball…..good luck with the Jays, a promising young team!
From Chicken Strip to Buffalo Wing! It would be very interesting to see him and Ryu again in the WS.
A good man and will be missed and I know we all wish him well with a long sucessful BB career.
Stripling was a total pro. I wish him well…
Chicken Strip, you were always one of my favorites and I will be checking in on you to see how you’re doing at Rogers Centre. When they open the dome you get to check out the CNN tower. It’s a pretty cool place to play and a great city. The only thing is the traffic is almost as bad as LA, but it’s a lot smaller, they have four seasons, and you can walk. You’ll love it up there Ross.
Wishing you the best.
Im going to miss you Ross . THANK YOU for giving us the most exiting time of your career but lives goes on You ll be back sooner than you think…Read my words
