Dodgers Rumors: Multiple Teams in on Tommy Kahnle in Free Agency
The 2023 Dodgers could look much different compared to last season’s team. LA lost southpaw Tyler Anderson to the Anaheim Angels a couple of weeks ago. Cody Bellinger and Trea Turner will probably be elsewhere by the start of next season.
Both Turner and Belli have several teams interested in signing them; however, another Dodger has caught the interest of a handful of teams.
MLB columnist Jon Heyman of the New York Post says that Dodgers reliever Tommy Kahnle has many teams who want to sign the righty.
Tommy Kahnle has 10 plus teams expressing interest after strong September return with Dodgers (0.63 WHIP, 2.84 ERA). Ex Yankee also benefits from demand outstripping supply in relief market.

The Dodgers signed Kahnle in the winter of 2020 from the New York Yankees. Unfortunately, Kahnle missed the entire 2021 season due to Tommy John surgery and missed most of 2022 with a right forearm strain.
In the 13 games Tommy appeared in, he went 0-0 with a 2.84 ERA, 14 strikeouts, and 0.63 WHIP in 12.2 innings pitched.
Quickly, he became one of the best relievers in the bullpen and was a game-changer for what was already the best pitching staff in the MLB during the regular season.
The Dodgers need all the arms they can have, so hopefully, president of baseball operations Andrew Freidman will be able to retain Kahnle.
Kahnle is 33 years old and came off his best season since 2017 with the Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees.
The stuff is there, and the injury history is something that teams can overlook.
