Dodgers Send Andre Jackson to Triple-A, Recall Bruihl

The Dodgers announced a roster move on Monday with the recall of lefty reliever Justin Bruihl. RHP Andre Jackson was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move. It’s his first option of the season.

Jackson was tagged for 5 runs — 4 on solo home runs — in his last outing on Friday. Manager Dave Roberts said the team identified he was tipping his pitches to Cubs batters so he has some homework while down at AAA for the time being.

He has an 8.64 ERA over his first 4 appearances in 2023.

Bruihl, who is joining the active roster for the first time this season, has not allowed a run in his first 5 appearances with the AAA Oklahoma City Dodgers this season. In parts of two big league seasons, the 25-year-old owns a 1-2 record with a 3.40 ERA over 42.1 innings pitched. He’s walked 13 batters and struck out 24.

    1. Maybe cutting they mop on his head will help. Seems to be a major distraction for him. More concerned with his mop fitting into cap. A looser!
