Dodgers Sit Atop World Series Odds Entering Giants Series

The Dodgers head into San Francisco this weekend on a bit of a hot streak. Finally healthy and with their main guys back in the lineup, Los Angeles has won 20 of their last 24 games and most recently swept through the Braves.

But the series against the Giants this weekend is huge. They’ve struggled with their NL West rivals all year long and are currently tied for the division lead with them. With these 3 games being the final ones between them, it’s a big series for both squads.

The Dodgers will also enter the series with some decent league momentum. They come in with the top World Series odds entering the month of August, per BetOnline. Los Angeles starts September with 13/4 odds to take home the title this October/November.

The Astros come in right behind the Dodgers with 11/2 odds, and the Giants are way down at number 6 with 15/2 odds. San Francisco fans probably aren’t going to like that, but they’ve certainly taken a step back in recent weeks.

Injuries to starting pitchers in particular have been a struggle for the Giants. With the Dodgers getting healthier as September winds down, things are finally looking up.

  1. Odds. Assumptions. Whatever, they mean nothing. Good teams find a way to win. Great teams find a way to win on the road. Baseball’s just better when both the Dodgers & Giants are in it.

  2. We would have a better chance if Roberts didn’t run the game like little league. Not working. He should be glad team mans up and still overcomes.
