Dodgers Top Prospect Has ‘Cleanup’ Procedure, Unlikely to Pitch This Season
One of the Dodgers’ top pitching prospects, Nick Frasso, underwent a cleanup procedure on his hip labrum. He was already rehabbing from labrum surgery on his right shoulder and is unlikely to pitch this season.
The initial news of Frasso’s injury was tough, as the team was looking forward to seeing what he could bring on the mound. He split time between Double-A and Triple-A last season and was hopeful to make his major league debut this year.
He posted an ERA of 3.26 over four appearances in Triple-A last season. Frasso showed real potential during his 19.1 innings of work, giving the front office a glimpse of what could be.
Originally a fourth-round draft pick of the Toronto Blue Jays, the young right-hander holds a career ERA of 2.96 over 152 innings of work in the minor leagues. He was acquired by Los Angeles in 2022 for pitcher Mitch White.
Dodgers Nation wishes a speedy recovery for Frasso and hope to see him back on the mound soon.
