Atlanta Braves Star Says Dodgers’ Mookie Betts is ‘Scared of Me’ — In Bowling

Bowling is in Mookie Betts’ blood. He’s lost count of how many perfect 300 games he has rolled in his lifetime and in February, he hosted his second annual bowling tournament in Los Angeles.

Now, Atlanta Braves outfielder Michael Harris II is ready to challenge Betts one-on-one in the bowling alley. Harris told MLB Network Radio on SiriusXM that “Mookie is honestly scared of me.”

The two multi-sport athletes bowled together in Louisville, Ky., this past January as part of the Friends for Fun Mixer tournament. They also plan on hosting another tournament again in 2025 and maybe that is when Harris will get the head-to-head matchup that he is anxiously awaiting.

“I haven’t really 1v1’d him for a full game. He was at my event and we bowled at the same time,” Harris said during the radio interview. “I got a strike, he got a nine. So I’ll take the dub for now. I got to play him for a full 10 frames and see what he’s got.”

For any bowlers reading this or watching the video above, bowling side-by-side is extremely difficult. Proper lane etiquette is to wait for the bowler in the neighboring lane to finish their roll before stepping up.

Perhaps, the bond between these two in the bowling alley will create more friendly content next offseason.
