Dodgers: Walker Buehler Gets ‘Shoe Surgeon’ Custom Designed Nikes for Wedding Day
For the typical Major Leaguer, getting a World Series ring means everything. Players dedicate their whole lives to reaching the game’s highest level at a chance to be crowned champions and receive such a prestigious item. While players’ significant others would say they hope they can attain that champion-caliber jewelry, typically blinged out with diamonds, they also want to be given a ring of their own.
That’s what typically happens in the offseason as the baseball winds down and the ceremonies commence. This winter has seen both Mookie Betts and Walker Buehler tie the knot with their new wives. While we all know and love Mookie Betts for the style and swag he brings about whether on or off the field, Walker and his new wife McKenzie were able to show off some of their own at their wedding thanks to the Shoe Surgeon.
The Shoe Surgeon is a shoe brand created by artist Dominic Ciambrone, who specializes in sneaker customizations as well as unique designs.
Both Ciambrone and McKenzie showed off the fire kicks on Instagram.
The Buehler’s Nike Air Max shoes featured their wedding date (12/11/21) on the inside of the tongue as well as hidden on the insides of the collar. On the outside of the tongue, the salutations of Mr. and Mrs. can be seen on one shoe of each pair. Lastly, the outside soles of Walker’s shoes are labeled “MB” for Mackenzie Buehler while the misses shoes feature “WB” for Walker Buehler. The couple showed off the pair of shoes during their big day for everyone to see.
