Dodgers: Watch 2 of Will Smith’s Ridiculously Odd Plays From Sunday
The Dodgers were able to walk away with the win on Sunday night in Atlanta. Despite their offense stalling out for most of the game, Trayce Thompson’s accidental single over the head of Matt Olson tied things up. They put up 2 more runs in the 11th inning to get out of Atlanta with a series win over the Braves.
But that game was not without its odd moments, including the Thompson hit. But the Dodgers had two more very interesting plays that were all across the internet, and both involved catcher Will Smith as well.
Behind the Back Magic
On a breaking ball that should have gone all the way to the backstop, Smith somehow managed to stick out his glove and make the catch. That came with runners on as well, saving the Dodgers from having 2 guys in scoring position with 2 outs.

Just Plain Odd
There was also this play spurred on by Braves’ catcher Travis d’Arnaud. With the runner trying to steal third base, d’Arnaud stood perfectly still and took the throw from Smith off of his bat. It was a classic case of a guy knowing the rules all the way through, and the Dodgers paid for it.
Will Smith throws it right to Travis d'Arnaud's bat. This was wild #Dodgers

Just an odd game filled with strange moments on Sunday night. But the good news is that the Dodgrs still walked away with the win. Onward to Colorado for a 3-game set with the Rockies this week.
