Dodgers: Watch Clayton Kershaw Face Mookie Betts in Live BP at Dodger Stadium

The Dodgers are back at it at Chavez Ravine and that means we get real baseball back. Sort of. We got live updates of the workout thanks to SportsNet LA, including some key matchups.

One of those matchups included the Dodgers’ Clayton Kershaw facing off against Mookie Betts. Thankfully, we got some live video footage of that meeting. Kershaw took down Mookie on six pitches, finishing him off with a fastball on the outside part of the plate.

In terms of velocity, Kershaw was sitting somewhere between 90 and 92 mph on his fastball with some sliders mixed in. The Dodgers southpaw striking out Mookie was a big moment for media and fans, and all eyes were on the pair. The last time the two met, Betts took Kershaw deep in game five of the 2018 World Series.

In other matchups, Joc Pederson hit an absolute bomb off of Ross Stripling. This was after some ribbing from Dodgers’ teammate Cody Bellinger, who called Pederson an easy out from centerfield.

The Dodgers’ schedule was released on Monday afternoon, so we are one step closer to real-life baseball, not just practice games. Los Angeles will face off against the Diamondbacks July 19th and 20th for exhibition games, as well as the Angels on the 21st. Opening Day will be against the Giants at home on the 23rd to kick the regular season off in a four-game set before heading to Houston.
