One of the best parts about watching Clayton Kershaw age has been getting to see his personality come out. The Dodgers pitcher seems to get more and more fun the older that he gets, and fans have got to see all sides of him lately.
The mushy posts saying goodbye to teammates, the personal interviews that talk about being a dad, and the social media posts that talk about his charity all make up one great guy.
Kershaw made an appearance on Lindsay Czarniak’s The Artist and The Athlete podcast. He did so alongside Dodgers superfan Brad Paisley, and we got a great clip out of it. Kershaw was asked if he were a performer, what would be his encore song. Kershaw chose a classic and even belted out a few lines for us all.
Watching Clayton Kershaw sing I Believe I Can Fly is everything that we’ve ever wanted, even if he did get the artist wrong. But watching the Dodgers pitcher sing to a country music legend like Brad Paisley is just perfect.
Paisley and Kershaw have become good friends in his time with the Dodgers. The two have often teamed up at events, including Kershaw’s annual Ping Pong 4 Purpose tournament.
