Mike Bolsinger will make his season debut on Wednesday in Anaheim against the Angels. Bolsinger has spent his entire 2016 season in AAA with the Oklahoma City Dodgers. The Dodgers are in the midst of the 20 games in 20 days, so Bolsinger will provide some needed relief for the Dodgers pitching staff.

The Angels will send right hander Nick Tropeano to the mound who will be making his Freeway Series debut along with Bolsinger. Tropeano has a record of 1-2 and an ERA of 3.68 over seven starts this year.

By The Numbers:

  • Mike Bolsinger (0-0, 2.25 ERA in Triple-A), is 7-12 with a 4.23 ERA in his Major League career and will be facing the Angels for the first time. The right-hander went 6-6 with a 3.62 ERA in 21 starts for Los Angeles (21-19) in 2015.
  • Tropeano’s biggest issue this season has been pitch efficiency. He’s hasn’t lasted more than 5 2/3 innings in a start this season, but he’s allowed two runs or fewer in five of his last seven starts, including a solid performance in Friday’s 7-6 win in Seattle.
  • Shortstop Corey Seager is batting .412 with five home runs and seven RBI in eight games, and he’s hit .368 in five career contests against the Angels.
  • Howie Kendrick, who started at first base in place of Gonzalez on Tuesday, is 7 for 17 in his last four games.Screen Shot 2016-05-18 at 11.04.13 AM
