How to Watch Dodgers Game on Friday: Note, it’s Not For Free

The Dodgers are finally back home in Los Angeles as they get set for a three-game homestand against the St. Louis Cardinals beginning on Friday. While Saturday and Sunday’s games will be usual broadcasts — i.e. on SportsNet LA — Friday’s game is a special broadcast.

The Dodgers vs. Cardinals game on Friday will be on Apple TV+, something MLB started doing last year. Dodger fans are very familiar with it, however, as famously, Albert Pujols’ 700th career home run came against the Dodgers on the Apple TV+ broadcast.

So, the Cardinals and Dodgers are back on Apple TV+, which, this year, requires a paid subscription to watch. It was free during its inaugural season. However, there is a promotion for two free months of Apple TV through MLB, which you can sign up for by clicking right here.

How Do I Get AppleTV+ On My Home TV?

For televisions with smart TV functionality like Amazon FireTV, Roku, or Chromecast, search for “AppleTV” on your device and download and install the app. From there you can create an account or log in to an existing account. AppleTV+ can also be watched on your phone or computer here.

Who is Call the Dodgers Game Tonight?

Voice of the Angels Wayne Randazzo and Spectrum SportsNet LA’s studio analyst Dontrelle Willis will be on the call for Friday’s game. Willis called a few games for the Dodgers last season, and was a huge hit among fans. So, this is a great opportunity for fans to listen to him call a game again!

Also, according to Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times, the game will feature aerial stadium footage through a drone camera — so that’s definitely something.

Saturday’s game will also be on national television on Fox Sports 1, however, it will also be broadcast on Spectrum SportsNet LA. And Sunday’s matinee is just on SNLA.

So, the only special one you have to plan for is Friday night’s game on Apple TV+.

One Comment

  1. Apple TV+. One more way for the billionaires to get more of your money. Don’t do it, one more charge on top of an already high cable bill. Pretty soon there will be an extra charge for every televised game if people buy into it.
