Hyun-Jin Ryu to Make First Start Since May as Dodgers Try to Avoid Sweep
San Francisco Giants vs Los Angeles Dodgers
Time: 7:10 PM PT
Venue: Dodger Stadium
San Francisco Record: 61-60
Los Angeles Record: 64-57
How are the Dodgers Doing?
The Dodgers are well on their way to a second-half collapse. After falling to the Giants on Tuesday, 2-1, they have now dropped five straight games. Once again, the bullpen took home the loss, this time at the hands of Kenta Maeda. Tensions rose in the seventh inning as benches cleared in a brawl between Yasiel Puig and Nick Hundley.
Why is this Game Important?
If the Dodgers lose on Wednesday, this would be the first time the Giants swept Los Angeles since 2016. The Dodgers’ third-place standing is the lowest they have been in the NL West this late in the season since 2011.
