James Outman Weighs in on Shohei Ohtani Joining the Dodgers This Offseason

The move of the offseason around the baseball world was the Los Angeles Dodgers adding the best player in baseball, two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani. The Dodgers struck gold with Ohtani.

Not only were Dodger fans excited about adding the two-way star, but so were many Dodger players.

One of the members of the Boys in Blue who is beyond excited is second-year outfielder James Outman. Outman spoke with our own Doug McKain and said he was “stoked” when the team signed him in December.

“I was stoked when we got him. I’m looking forward to seeing his bp. I feel like the Dodgers are one of the most loved organizations in the world. Wearing that name across your chest means a lot to everyone.”

Everybody is excited to have Ohtani in Dodger Blue, and we all can’t wait to see him grace the field at Dodger Stadium come late March.

The excitement is palpable all around. Both Ohtani and Outman will bring the energy every single game and do all they can to bring title number eight to Los Angeles. One of the main reasons Ohtani signed with the Dodgers was to be in a good spot to win each season.

He wants to play into October, wants to win and wants to lift the Commissioner’s trophy when it’s all said and done. The only thing that matters is winning, and Ohtani will hopefully bring more of that to the Dodger organization.

The time is now, and Outman will do all he can to contribute to L.A.’s success.
