Jurickson Profar Makes Unbelievable Catch to Rob Dodgers’ Mookie Betts of Home Run

San Diego Padres outfielder Jurickson Profar made an unreal catch in left field to rob Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts of a home run.

Betts hit what should have been a home run to left field, but Profar jumped up and brought it back into play.

Profar hid the ball for a few seconds, bringing confusion to the play. In the end, though, he showed the ball in his glove, and Betts was out. Here’s a video of the play:

Betts was looking for his first postseason hit since the 2022 NLDS, and this one would have tied the game at one apiece. However, Profar made an unbelievable effort to bring it back, and maintain the Padres’ 1-0 lead.

The Padres took a 1-0 lead in the first inning thanks to a home run by Fernando Tatis Jr. In the second inning, the Padres added a two-run home run by David Peralta to take a 3-0 lead.

The Padres had a 3-0 lead after the first inning of Saturday night’s Game 1. However, the Dodgers were able to come back on two separate occasions, and ultimately won, 7-5.

The Dodgers will need to make a similar comeback in Game 2 if they want to head to San Diego with a 2-0 NLDS lead. They’ll also hope Profar doesn’t have any more defensive heroics in him.
