Justin Turner Would Love to See Dodgers vs Blue Jays World Series This Year

Former Dodgers fan favorite Justin Turner signed with the Toronto Blue Jays earlier this week. After spending a year with the Boston Red Sox, Turner is continuing his tour of the American League East.

There was some talk about a potential reunion with Turner and the Dodgers, but once L.A. signed Shohei Ohtani, there wasn’t much room for the 2020 World Series champion.

Recently, Turner was stopped on the street by TMZ, and asked about both Ohtani and a potential Dodgers vs. Blue Jays World Series. He said he’d love to face his former team at the end of the season.

“Yeah, that’d be awesome,” Turner said. “Dodgers, Blue Jays, let’s go.”

Turner was also asked to give advice to the newest Dodger about winning the fan base over.

“I think he’s doing a pretty good job,” Turner said.

A Dodgers vs. Blue Jays World Series would have tons of storylines, especially considering Toronto was one of the teams interested in Ohtani this offseason. But a Turner vs. his former team storyline would be just as exciting, especially for Dodger fans.

There’s a long way to go before we have to worry about that, though, as pitchers and catchers haven’t even reported to spring training yet. But for now, Turner can circle April 26-28 on his calendar, because that’s when the Dodgers come to Toronto for a three-game series.
